It has been more than five years since Michele Tafoya is working for NBC Sports as a sportscaster. She joined NBC on 4th May 2011 and has been featuring as the sideline reporter for NBC Sunday Night Football. Andera Kremer was replaced with Michele and she joined Al Michaels.

During the 2000 Sydney Olympics when Michele Tafoya was working for ABC Sports and ESPN she was loaned to NBC Sports as a reporter for the Rhythmic Gymnastics. Michele joined ABC Sports and ESPN in January 2000 where she worked as a sideline reporter for ESPN Monday Night Football. Then, for ABC Sports she was the sideline reporter for the show named Monday Night Football.

Before joining ABC Sports and ESPN she served as the host for the CBS Sports from September 1994. She used to host the show CBS Sports Spectacular and also did the college basketball coverage. The other show she hosted during her stay in CBS was At The Half.

She started to peak in her career immediately after her journalism debut at the 1994 U.S Open Tennis Championships. In 1996 working for CBS she made history when became the first woman to call television play-by-play of a NCAA tournament game. For that, she was also honored with a Gracie Award by The American Women in Radio and Television for 'Outstanding Achievement by an Individual On-Air TV Personality'.
