Michio Kaku was born in  San Jose, California on January 24, 1947. He is the son of Japanese American parents. His father, born in California and educated in both Japan and the United States. Both his parents were interned at the Tule Lake War Relocation Center during World War II.

 

 

1968

Graduated from Harvard University

 Michio Kaku completed his graduation in summa cum laude from Harvard University in the year 1968 and there he was first in his physics class.Michio Kaku was awarded the Hertz Engineering Scholarship before attending Harvard University.

1972

Received the Phd University of California, Berkeley

Michio attended the Berkeley Radiation Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, and received a PhD in 1972, and that same year held a lectureship at Princeton University. Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey, United States.

Wrote a Book Physics of the Impossible

He has written  Physics of the Impossible: A Scientific Exploration into the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation, and Time Travel in 2008. It is a book by theoretical physicist Michio Kaku. Kaku uses discussion of speculative technologies to introduce topics of fundamental physics to the reader.

Appeared in the film Me & Isaac Newton

In 1999, Kaku was one of the scientists profiled in the feature-length film Me & Isaac Newton, directed by Michael Apted. It played theatrically in the United States, was later broadcast on national TV, and won several film awards.

An American theoretical physicist, and futurist, Michio Kaku was born on January 24, 1947, in San Jose, California, to Japanese American parents. Michio holds an American nationality while having an ethnic background of Asian descent. 

Kaku graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University, which was also the study place for high-profile celebrities such as Bill Gates, Barack Obama, and Mark Zuckerburg, in 1968. Then he attended the Berkeley Radiation Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, and received a P.h.D in 1972, and that same year held a lectureship at Princeton University.

Michio Kaku is the co-founder of string field theory (a branch of string theory) and continues Einstein’s search to unite the four fundamental forces of nature into one unified theory.

As far as his career goes, Michio Kaku started his career in the army during the Vietnam War. After completing his basic training schedules at Fort Benning, Georgia and also finished advanced infantry training at Fort Lewis, Washington. However, he couldn't be deployed as an infantryman.

In 1999, Hollywood saw the entry of the physicist who appeared in the movie, Me and Isaac Newton. Later, he was also a part of other movies and shows such as Hawking, The Screen Savers, Last Days on Earth, and more recently, on The Principle
