Mickey Sherman is an American criminal defense attorney, famous for his representation of Michael Skakel who was murdered in 1975. He was born to Edith Sherman and grew up along with her siblings in Greenwich, Connecticut. He graduated from Greenwich High School and achieved his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Regarding his ethnicity, he is white and holds an American Nationality.
Mickey who worked as a criminal defense attorney at a state licensing authority department was suspended from practicing as a lawyer after failing to pay $1.1 million in federal taxes. However, in 2012, he returned back to his work practicing as a lawyer. And worked as an assistant public defender, as an assistant prosecutor for several years. He also worked as a legal analyst for CBS News, and later defended Vietnam veteran in a murder trial using post-traumatic stress disorder defense.

Moving towards his personal life, Mickey Sherman has been married twice. He first got married to Judy Jacobson and gave birth to two children; Mark Sherman and Jamie Sherman. However, the duo eventually got a divorce in 2005.
Later, in 2006, he got married to Lis Wiehl, a Fox News' legal analyst and author. However, Mickey and Lis got divorced after six years of marital relationship in 2012.
