A few weeks back, Mike was diagnosed with Leukemia, a cancer of the blood or bone marrow. He was admitted to a hospital for treatment at the Los Angeles hospital. But, he could not win the battle of the race with cancer and died on the 26th of December, 2017.
Mike Connors was married to Mary Lou Willey in 1949 after dating each other for a few months. After a few years of a successful marriage, the couple welcomed their first child Matthew Gunner Connors, but unfortunately, he suffered from hallucinations when he was a child. After the severe hallucination, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, a long-term mental disorder, and died at the age of 17.
Mike and Mary gave birth to their second child, Dana Lou Conners. Mike never had an opportunity to enjoy his son's success but did enjoy his daughter's success.

Mike and his wife Mary were together for 68 long years without any kind of disputes or separation. In his entire life, he was never linked with any other woman and is believed to be a loyal and supportive husband. His wife and daughter along with his son-in-law supported him to fight cancer.
