Mike was once married to Nancy Duffy. As a married couple, they also had two children together and they named them Gavin and Miranda. However, after being married for several years they announced their separation in 1979 and they also got divorced the same year.
After spending single life for several years, Mike got married to Heather Duffy in 1992. Heather Duffy is a sweet and beautiful lady and they are still together. They have not welcomed any children from this married life.
In July 2014, Karen Duffy a Peruvian woman revealed that she was born as a result of romantic love affairs of Mike Duffy and her mother Yvette Benites Ruiz. Mike has not accepted it officially but he has left some sign that she is her daughter.
When Mike was in his high school, he dropped out from there and then he joined St. Dunstan’s College with a majored in humanities. When he was 16, he took the job of a ham radio operator. Few years later, he joined CFCY-TV and began working as a teen disc jockey. In 1969, he joined CFCF and began serving them as a lineup and assignment editor. He was offered the post of reporter in The National in 1977. Finally in 1988, he was hired by the Baton Broadcasting as the host of the news program, Sunday Edition. In 2008, he was accused by Canadian Broadcast Standards Council for violating several codes and conducts and then on 17th of July 2014, he was charged with 31 offences. His net worth is said to be around $1.7 million.
