Mike started a comedy Association in Chicago along with Elaine May, through which they gained more popularity. After that Mike continues his directing debut with Neil Simons Barefoot comedy.
Following this, Mike directed his first movie Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf in which, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton starred in this movie and Mike awarded with the Academy Award for best director.
Mike continued to have a varied career in comedy, drama and music accept movies. Further, he directed and produced Closer, which was based on sex and relationships starring Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Jude Law, and Natalie Portman.
