Milana Vayntrub was born Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub on March 8, 1987, in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR. She was born and raised in a Jewish family. Milana was raised in West Hollywood and holds an American nationality and white ethnicity.

When Milana Vayntrub was aged three years old, she moved to the United States with her parents. When she was five years old, she appeared in the Mattel Barbie commercials to support her financially.

Once she was enrolled at Beverly Hills High School but she earned a GED instead of her high school graduation. Milana Vayntrub also attended the University of California, San Diego with a major in communication.
