Early Life, Family & Career
Miyako Fujitani was born on December 7, 1979, in Osaka, Japan, to Japanese parents in a Japanese family.
Her father was an Aikido master who moved to Los Angeles to teach martial arts. In July 1974, Miyako attended an Aikido seminar.
She is of Japanese nationality and belongs to the Asian ethnicity. Details about her education and graduation are unknown but she was being trained in martial arts since her childhood.
She started Aikido training because of her afraid. The reason behind taking the martial arts classes is also that her father was an Aikido master.
During her career, she was also discouraged by many people who used to say that martial arts were only for men.
Despite not being accepted in her Japanese community, she continued her training. At once state, she suffered from broken bones because of her poor technique.
She even had to take a break from the training for a year to heal. She eventually became a professional and widely famous martial artist.
After her father returned to Japan, Miyako started teaching and giving martial art training to the students in her father's school.

Miyako Fujitani is currently single but she was previously married to American actor Steven Seagal The former couple tied the knot in 1974 but they got a divorce in 1987. They share two children; a son Kentaro Seagal, 43, and a daughter, Ayako Fujitani, 39, together.
Ayako is an actress who currently plays the role of Kyoko, the wife of Takehaya (played by Hiroyuki Sanada) in the TNT hit apocalyptic drama series The Last Ship. Kentaro is also an actor.
Steve was also previously married to Adrienne Larussa (1984-1987) and Kelly LeBrock (1987-1996). He has currently been in a marital relationship with Erdenetuya Seagal since 2009.
He and film producer Harvey Weinstein were previously accused of sexual misconduct and rape by ER actress Julianna Margulies.
