Nikki Amuka-Bird was born on February 27, 1976, in Delta, Nigeria. She was born under the birth sign Pisces.
She later moved to London, England with her mother after she divorced her father who was a newspaper editor by profession.
When her mom mother returned to her native Antigua, Nikki joined a boarding school in Surrey and then studied at LAMDA drama school in London. She learned dancing during her school days.

Film Career
Nikki Amuko-Bird started her career as a theatre actor and first performed Welcome to Thebes in National Theatre.
She later worked in Twelfth Night in Bristol Old Vic. The actress has also starred in numerous theatrical plays such as World Music and Doubt: A Parable.
She made her on-screen acting debut with the BBC hit series, Holby City, in 1999. She has since appeared in more than 30 television series including The Bill, Doctors, Murder Prevention, The Last Enemy, The True Voice of Prostitution, Sinbad, Small Island and Hard Sun.
She made her film debut with the 2000 drama romance movie, Forgive and Forget. She has since appeared in many other hit films such as The Omen, Jupiter Ascending, Coriolanus, The Children Act and A Private War.
She has currently been cast in two upcoming movies The Laundromat and The Personal History of David Copperfield.
Fans are also expecting her as the lead character in the upcoming series, Avenue 5.
