The rumors spread following their on-screen pair-up in the romantic drama The Heirs. In early 2014, the Chinese media went berserk claiming that the two were dating but, the actor's agency stated that the love affair rumors between them are just groundless rumors.

Likewise, the rumors were also turned down by Min Ho's agency stating that the news was ridiculous and 300% false.
