Piper Perabo graduated from Toms River High School North and later completed her Bachelor's Degree in theater from Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University in 1998. In her final year, she studied Latin, Physics, and Poetry. After completing her study, she moved to New York and worked as a waitress. She first acted in a short movie called Single Spaced (1997). She got her attention from her role as Voilet "Jersey" Sanford in Coyote Ugly (2000). She won MTV Movie Award for Best Music Moment.
After having almost three years of affairs with Stephen Kay, Piper became engaged in 2013. Ten months after their engagement, they finally get married on July 26, 2014 in New York City.
