Prince Philip had in a car accident near Sandringham Estate in England on Thursday, January 17 but fortunately, he's not injured.

According to a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace, the Duke of Edinburgh, 97, "was not injured" in the accident. "Local police attended the scene".

The accident happened after Philip reportedly pulled his Land Rover car out of a driveway and onto the A149 road.

Eyewitnesses told BBC that the 97-year-old SUV overturned and despite he was conscious, he looked shocked and shaken.

Two people in the other car, who got minor injuries, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn. They have since been discharged.

Philip, who became married to Queen Elizabeth II in 1947, has been out of the spotlight since his retirement from public duties in April 2017.

Philip underwent hip replacement surgery in April 2018; the surgery went successfully. He remained at a hospital in London for several days, however, he had managed to attend his grandson Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in the following month.
