Prince Philip Apologizes: Says Sorry to Woman Injured in His Car Accident

Mahammad Arsad shekh Sun Jan, 2019

He is sorry about it! Prince Philip apologized to a woman, namely Emma Fairweather, 46, who was injured in a car accident they had on January 17 in Sandringham, England.  writing that he was "deeply sorry".

The Duke of Edinburgh, 97, released a note to the Sunday Mirror on Saturday, January 26, to say sorry to the woman, who broke her wrist in the accident.

The statement reads, "I would like you to know how very sorry I am for my part in the accident at the Babingley cross-roads."

The note continues,

I have been across that crossing any number of times and I know very well the amount of traffic that uses that main road. It was a bright sunny day and at about three in the afternoon, the sun was low over the Wash. In other words, the sun was shining low over the main road. In normal conditions I would have no difficulty in seeing traffic coming from the Dersingham direction, but I can only imagine that I failed to see the car coming, and I am very contrite about the consequences.

As we previously reported, Queen Elizabeth II's husband and the woman was involved in the two-car collision on January 17 as his Land Rover hit her Kia after the SUV pulled out of a driveway.

Philip didn't suffer major injuries although his car flipped over. However, two people in the other vehicle got injuries and rushed to a nearby hospital. A 9-month-old baby was also in the car but he was not hurt.

Just two days after the accident on January 19, Philip was spotted driving his SUV without wearing a seatbelt.
