Quang Dung during the beginning of his career got a high inspiration through his father’s friends, including director Hong Sen and composer Tring Cong Son, from them he learned about movies, music, and art at the time people in Vietnam tried to survive after the war. Giving priority to his dream, he then enrolled at "Ho Chi Minh city’s Films" and Theater college’s first Direction class.
During graduation from his college, Dung began his career in the film industry as a director with the movie, “Con Ga Trong”, which he adapted from his father’s short story. Again a year later, Dung composed a soundtrack for the first private-owned studio movie in Vietnam, “Nhung Co Gai Chan Dai”.
In 2005, Dung directed his first theatrical feature, “Hon Truong Ba, Da Hang Thit”, however, the movie failed at the box office because of bad reviews from the film critics.
Later he gave back to back hit movies such as “Nu Hon Than Chet” (A Kiss of Death), it’s sequel “Giai Cuu Than Chet” (Rescue The Death), and “Nhung Nu Hon Ruc Ro” (Bright Kisses). Eventually, these movies hit the box-office so well.
Not only in the film industry, Quang has a good reputation in the music field. She is a music composer, music producer as well as judge of the shows like Vietnam’s idol judge, TV game-show director, and magazine columnist.
For the moment, Dung is producing and directing MTV Vietnam channel. Aside from this, he is also preparing for his up coming feature, a period female martial art piece.
Forty-one years Young and bold personality, Dung is currently single. Going deep, he was married to his long term girlfriend Jennifer Pham, that came close after working alongside for a movie by the director Le Cung Bac. The ex-couple gave birth to a baby; son, Thai Bao Nam. However, after years of marriage, the couple separated with divorce
Since then, there is no any news and rumors regarding Dung’s link up with any other ladies. Quang Dung’s lavish and luxurious life style indicates that he has a good income source. He often visits expensive destinations for holidays. However, his exact figure of net worth is yet to disclose and is under review.
