Rami Malek Kisses Girlfriend Lucy Boynton at SAG Awards 2019 After His Win

It was a very special evening for Rami Malek! The Mr. Robot actor celebrated his win at Screen Actors Guild Awards 2019 on Sunday, January 27, by kissing his loving girlfriend, Lucy Boynton.

Rami, 37, went for a kiss to Lucy, 25, after winning the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his role of late Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. The 2018 film, which was made on the budget of $50-55 million, had a box office collection of $802.8 million.

The actor, who received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Mr. Robot, also blew kisses to his cast members while going up to the stage to accept the trophy.

Rami gushed on stage,

This just seems extraordinary to me. I just never in my wildest dreams thought I could be in a category with these men, and I am so proud to be one of your peers and to celebrate my peers tonight and to be celebrated by them. It’s an honor. I’m taken aback by it.

He continued by thanking the Freddie who inspired his role in the biopic.

He said,

I thank Queen and Freddie Mercury. I get some power from him that is about stepping up and living your best life, being exactly who you want to be and accomplishing everything you so desire. And I feel that and he allows us all to feel that, so this is, again, for him. Thank you very much.

As previously reported, multiple sources confirmed in April 2018 that Rami and Lucy were dating. They began their relationship after meeting on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody.

A source said at the time, "He is so into her. He goes and visits her in London all the time."

The actor, who previously was rumored to be dating Portia Doubleday and Angela Sarafyan, confirmed his affair with the Murder on the Orient Express actress at Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards Gala 2019 on January 4.

While accepting the Breakthrough Artist Award, he said at the time, "Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. Thank you so much."
