The band announced their retirement in May 2002. That they announced at the event of  Academy of Country Music Awards. They performed throughout the country in their American Farewell Tour in the whole year of 2002 and 2003.

He was born on December 13, 1949, in Fort Payne, Alabama, United States, and grew up there. He belongs to a Christian family. He is of English and Native American descent. 

Yeuell Owen got married to Kelly in 1975. They got married when Randy was 25 years old and his girlfriend was 17. They turned to husband and wife in 1975 but are still going strong in their marital relationship. 

The couple is living a happy married life together, and it's been 40 years of their married life. And there is no information about his extramarital affairs and girlfriends. The couple is also far from any divorce rumors. 

In their 40 years of marriage, the couple has been parents three times. They gave birth to Alison Sena Yeuell, Randa Rosanne Yeuell, and Heath Yeuell as their children.
