In 1982, Ray got married to Seetha Smith. It’s been more than three decades since they have been together as a loving wife and husband but to date, there are no rumors about their divorce. They have two sons named Jeremy Nagin and Jarin Nagin and one daughter named Tianna Nagin. His nationality is American and he has mixed ethnicity.
As a child, Ray was enrolled at St. Augustine High School and O. Perry Walker High School. There he was active in several sports like basketball and baseball. With a baseball scholarship, he joined Tuskegee University with a major in Accounting. He finally earned his Bachelor of Science degree from there in 1978. Later on, he took several jobs like Internal Audit Manager, Division Controller jobs with Associates Corporation, controller, and manager of Cox New Orleans. In the early 1990s, he got his rise in fame as the host of a television call-in show. Despite being a Republican throughout his youth, he came out as a Democrat in with the turn of the 21st century and ran in the 2002 New Orleans mayoral election. He won 29% of the vote in the first round and 59% of the votes in the last round to become the 60th mayor of New Orleans. After he won the election, New Orleans was listed as the comeback kid in the south. He made New Orleans a better place within a short period of time but Hurricane Katrina faded away all his popularity. In 2014, he was accused of bribery, fraud, and money laundering. After that, he was sentenced to prison for ten years. He is now aged 59 years old. His net worth is unknown.
