His genre of music was related to electronic music, and he fused it with different other musical genres. The fans well received his songs and gave positive reviews in general.

Though he left the world at an early age, he has been able to achieve more in his career than what most could hope of. We are here to look at the life and success of this musical talent. 

Musical Journey of Avicii's Career

Avicii began his career at an early age of 16 and initially posted his remixes on electronic music forums. It was in 2011 that he rose to fame through his single Levels. The track showcased his new approach to the music which was able to make people notice him and his music.

His follow up after Levels was his studio album True which consisted of the lead single Wake Me Up. He blended country-soul music with Electronic Beats. This blend of music resounded well with the fans and had them hooked with the song. The song charted top in the music markets in Europe and reached number four in the United States.

Avicii released his second studio album Stories in 2015. His second album consisted of songs such as Waiting for love, Pure Grinding, For a Better Day and Broken Arrows. The album received mixed and average reviews. 2017 was the year when he released the EP Avici (01)

Avicii's Awards and Achievements 

Before the arrival of Avicii, the music genre of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) was lesser known to the people. Avicii helped bring EDM to a new height. His ability to mix different genres with EDM gave a refreshing new look and helped to mainstream it.

Kygo, Skrillex, Diplo, Martin Garrix and Cheat Codes are some of the famous musicians of this generation that have cited him as a source of inspiration. He has collaborated with some of the famous and successful musical artists including, Rita Ora, Adam Lambert, David Guetta, Madonna, and Leona Lewis to name but a few.

Likewise, he has also received many awards as a musician. Some of Avicii's achievement include; American Music Awards for Favorite Electronic Dance Music Artist, Billboard Music Awards for Top Dance/Electronic Song award, Echo Music Awards for Electronic Dance Music National/International award. 
Likewise, the other awards include MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Electronic and Best Swedish Act, Teen Choice Awards for Choice EDM Song, World Music Awards for World's Best Swedish Act and World's Best Electronic Dance Artist.

Deteriorating Health and Death of Avicii

Avicii suffered from health issues for a long time. He was hospitalized for 11 days in New York City in January 2012 for acute pancreatitis caused by excessive alcohol use. In 2014, Bergling underwent surgery to have both his appendix and gallbladder removed. His health gradually declined, and he retired from performing live in 2016.

 

At the age of 28, Tim Bergling died on 20 April 2018 near Muscat, Oman. The cause of death was not given immediately, but the Omani Police later confirmed that there was no criminal suspicion or evidence of foul play involved in Bergling's death.

His family later released an open letter on 26th April 2018, which stated that he "really struggled with thoughts about meaning, life, happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace."

TMZ reported that the cause of death for Avicii was suicide caused due to self-inflicted injuries and claimed his death to be of blood loss after he cut himself with broken glass of a wine bottle.

Avicii's Earning and Net Worth

Avicii was one of the successful DJ of his time, and his albums and singles are still a good grosser in the market. With successful hits and demands from fans, Avicii could earn $500 thousand per gig. During his touring days, he would earn between $15-$20 million per year.

Even when he could no longer continue touring due to his health issues, his album sales were still good, and he earned well without even having to tour.

In March 2014, Avicii purchased a house in the Hollywood Hills which was priced at $15.5 million. With him being able to spend his money on such luxuries, there is no doubt that he was earning the large number. 

With his success in music and the earnings he made through his touring days, during his time of death, Avicii's net worth was $85 million.
