Teresa Giudice, the RHONJ star found love again after months of divorce from her husband Joe Giudice in 2020. In December 2020, the Paterson, New Jersey native went Instagram official about her relationship with her new boyfriend Luis Ruelas after a month of dating.
From her ex-husband Joe, 48-year-old Teresa is the mother of 4 children from the 2-decade long marital relationship.
She came to TV mainstream after landing as the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey in 2009. Ever since her personal life has been a subject of keen interest among fans; either it is her love story or conviction & imprisonment for fraud involvement with her then-husband.
A graduate of Berkeley College in fashion marketing, Teresa Giudice didn't take long to move from her failed marriage, as she reportedly began dating Luis 'Louie' Ruelas, a businessman, in November 2020, following 2 months of divorce finalization. Louie is the co-founder and EVP of Business Development of Digital Media Solutions.
Just after a month of talks on her new relationship, Teresa, on December 22, 2020, took to Instagram confirming she is dating & posted a cuddled-up photo with Luis. The caption of the photo read "The BEST thing that came out of 2020" with heart emojis at afore & at the end.
Her new beau is the single father of 2 sons, and Giudice seems to be on good terms with the kids. Moreover, the American TV personality is already the mother of 4 with her ex-husband Joe.
Along with adorable PDAs, Teresa and Louie often share pictures of each on their respective Instagram. On February 14, 2021, the Celebrity Apprentice contestant and her boyfriend made an Instagram post celebrating their first Valentine's Day.
Reportedly, in an interview with E! News in February 2021, Teresa stated that her four daughters are totally okay with her new move in the relationship & told "They like him, they think he's great also, which I'm glad"; moreover, her ex-spouse Joe is also 'happy for her'.
As for questions about whether she would marry again, the American reality star expressed uncertainty, "I don't know. I have no idea. I have no idea what's going to happen."
On October 23, 1999, Guidice (birth name Teresa Gorga) married Joe Giudice, an Italian-born construction builder and a restaurant owner in New Jersey. Together, the duo shares 4 children, all daughters.
They welcomed their first child, daughter Gia Giudice on January 8, 2001; later they became parents to Gabriella Giudice (born on October 4, 2004), Milania Giudice (February 2, 2006), and Audriana Giudice (September 14, 2009).
Her longtime friend and The Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star Dina Manzo is the godmother of her youngest daughter Audriana.
In 2013, Teresa was indicted on 39 federal fraud charges along with her husband Joe and even more, saw her 15 months of prison in 2015.
Even after that incident, her relationship with her (now ex) spouse was quite well, until her mother died of pneumonia on March 3, 2017. As reported, the RHONJ personality felt her husband deprived her of the time she could spend with her mother & never took responsibility for the charges that sent both to prison.
On November 7, 2019, following 20 years of marital relationship, she announced a split with Joe. Their divorce finalized on September 2, 2020. As of early 2021, Teresa has an estimated net worth of $11 million.
The legal troubles for Teresa started after she and her then-husband Joe filed for bankruptcy in 2009 but withdrew their petition after an auction of furniture from their home (scheduled for August 22, 2010) was canceled.
The RHONJ star along with Joe was charged with frauds on July 29, 2013, in relation to their bankruptcy declaration 4 years earlier. The indictment on 39-counts included mail fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, and made false statements on loan applications.
In addition to that, her then-spouse saw accusations of tax payment failure between 2004 & 2008 on the $1 million income.
They didn't plead guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud on August 14, 2013, and their trial was scheduled on October 8 that year. The duo, later on, March 4, 2014, plead guilty to 41-counts of fraud, and on October 2, Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison while Joe saw 41 months imprisonment, along with $414,000 in restitution.
But to take care of their children, they were allowed to stagger their sentence, as one could raise the kids while another remained in the prison. Teresa Giudice began serving her sentence on January 5, 2015 and was released on December 23, 2015.
Shortly after that, Joe went to prison and was released in March 2019.
