Ringo was born in 1940 in Dingle, Liverpool, England to father, Richard Starkey and mother, Elsie née Gleave. Ringo was raised by his parents in Admiral Grove, Dingle, Liverpool. Starr Joined St Silas, a Church of England for his primary school.

After achieving a good fame Ringo stopped working for Hurricanes and moved to Beatles in August 1962. Starr also appeared in the Beatles' movie.
