Robbert Herjavec was born in Zbjeg, Croatia. He attended New College at the University of Toronto where he graduated with a double degree in political science and English.

2000

Began work as assistant director

Robert began his career as an assistant director and film producer and was given in honor of the youngest producers of Olympic coverage before joining Logiquest, selling IBM and mainframe emulation boards. He was formerly rejected at Logiquest because he was under qualified.

1990

Founded BRAK Systems

Later,  after he was fired from Logiquest, Robert founded his own company from the basement of his home, BRAK Systems, a Canadian integrator of Internet security software.

Robert Herjavec began his career as an assistant director and film producer. Back then, he was the youngest producer of an Olympic coverage. This was before he joined Logiquest, which led to his involvement in selling IBM and mainframe emulation boards. He was formerly rejected at Logiquest because he was under qualified.

Later, after he was fired from Logiquest, he started his own company from the basement of his home and named it BRAK Systems, a Canadian integrator of an internet security software company.

Robert gained huge success in the business and soon enough, television producers started calling him. he then became part of investment reality shows such as the CBC TV series Dragons' Den, and ABC's version of the series, Shark Tank, which showcases business ideas brought up by innovators and features Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, and Barbara Corcoran.

Robert has written various books about business, including, Driven: How to Succeed in Business and Life and The Will to Win: Leading, Competing and Succeeding.

Herjavec is a married man.Currently, he is married to his wife Kym Johnson. Robert and his former wife have two daughters, Caprice and Skye, and a son named Brendan. He was previously married to Diane Plese, whom he divorced.

The front door can be reached through a two-car garage and leads to a combo of kitchen/dining/living room on the floor below. This is not Herjavec's first property, however. He also owns a mansion in Bridle Path, Toronto.
