 Roger Thomas Staubach was born on February 5, 1942, to Betty Staubach and Bob Staubach in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is better known by his nicknamed, Captain America and Captain Comeback. He was raised by his parents,  in Silverton, a northeast suburb.

 

1960

Graduation from Catholic high school

 Roger Thomas Staubach attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, and later he did his graduation from a Catholic high school, Purcell High School (now Purcell Marian High School) in the year of  1960.

 

1965

Married with Marianne

 Roger Staubach got married to  Marianne in 1965. The couple met while they were studying the same college. The couple has been blessed with five children named Jeffrey Roger, Michelle Elizabeth, Stephanie Marie, Jennifer Anne, Amy Lynn. 

1963

Won Heisman Trophy

 He attended U.S. Naval Academy where he won the 1963  "Heisman Trophy". The award was created by the Downtown Athletic Club in 1935 to recognise "the most valuable  'college football'  player east of the Mississippi

Joined Dallas Cowboys

 He joined the Dallas Cowboys in 1969 and played with the club during all 11 seasons of his career. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) East division. 

1980

retired from Footbal

Staubach retired from football in 1980 as the second-highest-rated passer of all time at 83.4 and was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was ranked No. 29 on The Sporting News list of the 100 Greatest Football Players, the second-ranked Cowboy behind Bob Lilly.

1977

In 1977, Roger Thomas Staubach started a commercial real estate business, The Staubach Company, in partnership with Robert Holloway Jr., an associate of Henry S. Miller. The Staubach Company has been his primary endeavour since retirement from football.
