Roger Taylor was born Roger Meddows Taylor on 26 July 1949 and is 73 years old as of early 2022. He was born in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England to father Michael Taylor, and mother, Winifred Taylor.

Roger was only seven years old when he formed the first-ever band, The Bubblingover Boys. However, he started his professional musical career in 1968 and was associated with the band Smile from 1968 to 1970.

Roger left the band Smile to join Queen in 1970. Taylor is considered one of the prominent songwriters of the band and is the third most credited songwriter after Freddie Mercury and Brian May usually contributing one or two tracks per album.
