1997

Undergraduate studies

As Rohit Sardana was born on 22nd September in Haryana, India, he did his secondary schooling in Haryana itself, from Geeta Niketan Avasiya. Later, he started his undergraduate studies in Psychology, in 1997 and completed in 2000.

After completion of Sardana's undergraduate studies, he then started his post-graduate degree in 2000. He completed his post-graduation in 2002 in mass communication from Guru Jambheshwar University.

Rohit Sardana started his official career from the year 2002. For over a year, from 2002-2003, he worked as a trainee of copy-editor where he got ideas about copywriting, anchoring, editing, etc.

Rohit Sardana was born on 22nd September in Haryana, India. He completed his secondary schooling from Geeta Niketan Avasiya Vidyalaya which is in Kurukshetra, Haryana. He did his undergraduate studies from 1997-2000. He attended his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. From 2000-2002, Rohit finished his academic work and earned a post-graduate degree in mass communication. He received the degree from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.

Sardana worked as a copy-editor for over a year from 2002-2003. As a trainee copy editor, he managed copywriting, anchoring, production, and editing as well as post-production work. He even studied the functioning of a 24-hour news channel. From 2003-2004, he worked as an assistant producer at Sahara Samay.

In 2004, Rohit started working in Zee News. Later, he worked as a host for the network’s Hindi language programmes. Sardana currently works in Aaj Tak as a senior anchor.

Sardana produced one of the first Hindi-language news programs which were based on reporting the state of political accountability in India for Indian audiences. The program was named, ‘Karmakshetra’. The program focuses on Members of Parliament, where Sardana questions the MP in a challenging way. Sardana has also worked with ETV Network, Sahara Samay, and Akashvani.

Throughout his career, Sardana has received a lot of awards and recognition. He is also the recipient Sansui Best News Program Award. For his excellent journalism skill, he has also been awarded Madhav Jyoti Samman for Excellence in Journalism. He also won Best News Anchor award from Delhi Education Society. Sardana is married to his wife and had two daughters, but the identity of his family has not been disclosed.

Rohit Sardana was also once employed as a Video Toaster Editor. There, a Japanese team trained him for five months. He always dreamed of coming on the TV screen, and he eventually became able to fulfill his dream. At that time, he was paid INR 400 for every bulletin. Later, when he decided to give up the channel, his final salary bill was INR 72,000 per month. We can thus say that Sardana enjoys a handsome net worth just like other famous Indian Journalists like Anjana Om Kashyap, Shereen Bhan, and Arnab Goswami
