Born as Ronald David Wood in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom into a family of English "water gypsies", Ronnie was middle class background. He is English and is of white ethnicity. He is five feet and nine inch tall. 

1964

Joined the Birds

His professional musical career began since 1964. He began his musical career as a guitarist from the R&B band, Birds. The Birds released several single within few years, however, despite its popularity it was disbanded in 1967. 

1967

Joined Jeff Beck Group

After the R&B band, Birds got disbanded in 1967; he was seen being one of the members of the project Santa Barbera Machine Head. Few months later, he finally joined Jeff Beck Group as a bassist. 

1968

Recorded the debut album with Jeff Beck

Since 1967, he became associated with the musical group Jeff Beck Group. With them, he also went on a musical tour several times and in 1968, he recorded the debut album of Jeff Beck.  Jeff Beck's debut album was recorded under the name Truth. 

1969

Joined Small Faces

1971

Released their album

In 1969, he joined Small Faces after their original guitarist Steve Marriott left the band and he finally played his part to change its name to Faces. With the start of 1970s, Faces released several albums. He also co wrote several songs in those albums. 

1974

Released his first solo album

With the passage of time, he also joined Mick Jagger and played his part to release Mick's single "It's Only Rock'n Roll (But I Like It)". He also received lots of help from Mick Jagger to release his first solo album and he released it under the name I've Got My Own Album to Do.
