At the age of 12, Ruby conformed that she is lesbian. For this, she also suffered several physical and sexual abuses. She also tried several suicide attempts.
In 2008, news came put that Ruby is seeing Jessica Origliasso as her girlfriend and she is having romantic love affairs with her but later she confirmed that she is only her good friend not more than that.
Later Ruby dated Lola Van Vorst. Lola Van Vorst was one of the Australia’s Next Top Model. However, she went on being engaged with Lyndsey Anne McMillan who is also a model. They also revealed that they are in the mood of getting married soon but they called off this engagement at the end of 2009.
During the late 2009, in a pool party in Los Angeles, Ruby kissed Catherine McNeil. Catherine McNeil is a supermodel and is the winner of a model search contest. Few months later they got engaged but this engaged also dissolved on 2nd of July 2010.
Ruby remained single for the four years but in March 2014, news came out that she is engaged with Phoebe Dahl. Phoebe Dahl is also a popular celebrity. Recently in December 2015, they announced that they called off their engagement.
After spending some years in Victoria, Tasmania, and Surfers Paradise, she finally moved to Melbourne in her early teen and there she joined University High School. She also attended Footscray City College. In 2002, she took part in Girlfriend model search as one of the contestant of this competition. She was placed second in this competition. She has also been active as a VJ since 2000. She made her acting debut in 2008 and that was from the movie, Suite for Fleur. Ruby is also a great singer. She released her debut single titled Guilty Pleasure at the end of 2012.
