Miroslav Barnyashev or simply Rusev is a professional wrestler, rower, and farmer powerlifter. He is currently signed to professional wrestling champion, WWE. Barnyashev is the first Bulgarian to have wrestled for WWE

Rusev' Journey to Wrestling Career

Rusev has been involved in hardcore sports of rowing and powerlifting. According to his date of birth, his current age is 33 (born on December 25, 1985). He has adopted many ring name Alexander Rusev, Miroslav, Miroslav Makarov, and Rusev. In the mid of 2000, he migrated from Bulgaria to the United States to become Wrestler. 

In September, he signed the contract with Florida Championship to become a professional wrestler. He had crushed his neck which led to quite a game for the short period of time. Rusev, while running for the United States Championship, was defeated by John Cena in an "I Quit" match to retain the title.

After healing from his neck injury, he made a battle royal debut to determine the number one contender to the NXT Championship. He proceeded to adopt Lana as his “ social ambassador” a pairing compared by WWE to Ivan and Ludmilla Drago from the 1985 film Rocky IV.

Rusev later went to the Royal Rumble. He later went as the sixth entrant and returned to the match on the April 7 episode of Raw where he squashed Zack Ryder.  He was the first Bulgarian-born champion in WWE history who won the United States Championship.

In The League of Nation, November 23 episode of Raw, he had attacked Roman Reign and later lost to him. He started to feud with Ryback, with Lana faking injuries to distract Ryback and helping Rusev get an advantage.

In September, he has signed the contract for the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Promotion World Wrestling Entertainment. He wrestled his first television match on 17, 2011 episode of FCW defeating Mike Dalton while being managed by Raquel Diaz

Rusev' Personal Life: Married wife Catherine Joy

While talking about Rusev' personal life and current relationship status, he is a married man. Rusev married wrestler Catherine Joy “ C. J.” Perry who is working for the WWE in July 2016 after dating for a few years.

Rusev and wife Catherine are living a blissful married life of over two years with no rumors of divorce and separation issues. The couple is yet to welcome children of their own but sources claim that they are planning for it.

As of early 2019, Rusev's net worth is reported to be around $1 million that he collected from his wrestling career. His net worth in 2016 was around $800 thousand. He earns an annual salary of $100 thousand.
