Gorgeous ESPN reporter Samantha Ponder is the wife of Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder. This couple has been married since 2012. They married secretly in 17th December 2012.

Without any doubts, there are a number of known athlete-reporter couples, but Samantha and Christian are one of the coolest according to Vogue magazine. At present, Samantha and Christian’s relationship is going really well. They live together with their beautiful daughter.

Samantha and Christian dated for few months before tying the knot. They started seeing each other after Christian’s frequent messages to Samantha on her Twitter. Two months after to that, they got married secretly on 17th December 2012 in Hudson, USA.

Later, they performed the ceremony second time among friends and family. When Samantha was asked about her secret marriage, she said that she did not want much of limelight and media attention.

When Samantha is asked about how they got married, she says: 
I never was really a girl who planned out what my wedding would be, what my dress would look like. Everybody’s different. When we got married, he picked me up at the airport and I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and a hat. We drove the 20 minutes to Hudson or whatever it was, walked in, got married. Then we went and ate Arby’s as our wedding meal. We get way more attention than we ever deserve or need or want, because of our jobs. I don’t need a day that’s all about me. I was happy to go get married. That night after we had our Arby’s, we forgot the offensive line had an Ugly Sweater Party at a local restaurant. One of the guys texted Christian and asked, “Dude, where are you at?” We went to the mall and found ugly sweaters and went to the Ugly Sweater Party. We wanted to leave early, but everybody was like, “No, don’t leave.” I’m thinking, “Gosh, we just got married.”

Samantha’s husband Christian is an American Football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. He got his football skills from his father who also was a professional football player.

Besides, he is a very supportive and loving husband as well. That’s the ultimate reason behind his and Samantha’s relationship going so well and strong.

The loving Ponder couple has an angelic baby girl. Samantha got the privilege to become a mother for the first time on 22nd July 2014. They named their girl, Bowden Saint-Claire Ponder.

Christian’s college football coach at Florida State is Bobby Bowden, and this is how their baby girl got her name. Their baby girl is already two years old now, and she is growing with much grace and love from both her parents.
