The Son of Sophia Lorena and Carlo Ponti, Edoardo, was Alexander’s boyfriend before being her husband. This duo first met in the film school of the University of Southern California, but they were just friends then. They encountered each other again after many years and that is when their love affair ignited. On 11th August 2007, Alexander and Ponti turned their love affair into marriage as they tied the knot in Geneva, Switzerland.

In 2006, Alexander gave birth to an angelic baby girl. The couple named her Lucia Sofia. In Geneva, on 20th December 2010, Alexander gave birth to Ponti’s second child, a baby boy, Leonardo Fortunato Ponti.
