On 28th of September 2001, Scott got married to Kerry Oaker after being engaged for about a year. They also welcomed their first child together before being married and that was on 11th of July 2001. Together they have been parents of four children.
Scott was raised in Pitsea, Essex along with his two sisters, Nicola and Hayley. As a child, he was enrolled at Chalvedon Comprehensive School but at the age of 9 he quit it and then he joined Sylvia Young Theatre School. He was more interested in acting when he was child, he also appeared in several appeared in several TV series like Casualty, Hale and Pace, The Bill and so on. He was also well acclaimed for those roles. He also appeared in London’s West End & the Edinburgh Festival as a singer. In 1997, he was selected in the boy band Five. They signed a recording contract with Simon Cowell and BMG/RCA and finally released their debut album 5ive on 22nd of June 1998. Their second successful album, Invincible was released on 8th of November 1999. Though they enjoyed massive success worldwide, this band disbanded on 27th of September 2001. Then he began appearing in TV and radio shows.
