Sexy and gorgeous, Shannyn Sossamon was born as Shannon Marie Kahololani Sossamon in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America to Sherry Sossamon and Todd Lindberg. She is an American and is of English, Hawaiian, French, Dutch, Irish, Filipino, and German descent.

Graduated from Galena High School

Though Shannyn Sossamon was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she spends most of her childhood days in Reno, Nevada. Shannyn received her formal education from Galena High School. When she was there she also took dancing lessons. She graduated from there in 1995.

Worked as a DJ

After her graduation, Shannyn Sossamon moved to Los Angeles and began taking further dancing lessons. She also worked as a DJ in some local clubs. She also appeared in several performance venues. She also took advanced dancing classes at that time. 

Began her modeling career

During the mid 1990s, Shannyn Sossamon also became interested in modeling and posed for several magazines like Sassy Magazine, Unionbay Clothing, American Eagle Outfitters and many more. She also appeared in several television commercials and music videos. 

Began her acting career

Besides dancing, her childhood dream was acting. After modeling for about a year, Shannyn Sossamon began appearing in several TV shows. She made her acting debut in 1997 by appearing in the comedy series, Mr. Show with Bob and David.

First feature film, A Knight's Tale

Shannyn Sossamon played her first movie role in 2001 movie, A Knight's Tale. She portrayed the role of Jocelyn in this movie. The following year she appeared in the movies titled 40 Days and 40 Nights and The Rules of Attraction.

Her breakthrough role came in 2006 after Shannyn Sossamon appeared in the movie, Wristcutters: A Love Story starring the role of Mikal. She also got nominated in several prestigious awards for this role. She is also known for her role in the movie, Our Family Wedding.

Began dating Dallas Clayton

In 2002, Shannyn Sossamon was seen having romantic love affairs with Dallas Clayton. Dallas Clayton is an author and illustrator. As a loving couple, they also had one child together. They broke up in 2004. The actual reason why they broke up is unknown.
