Sharyn Ghidella is a television journalist and a news presenter from Australia. She is also well known for reporting the Nine Networks show, National Nine News. Currently, she presents Seven News Brisbane with Max Futcher from Monday to Friday, having previously worked with Bill McDonald.
Sharyn was born in Babinda, QLD of Australia to Australian parents. She was also raised in Babinda, QLD. She is Australian and is of white ethnicity.
Sharyn began her broadcasting career at North Queensland Television. There she worked as a reporter and presenter. Then she worked at Network Ten's and finally Nine Network. In the mid-1990s, she also hosted the show National Nine Early News.
She worked as a reporter for National Nine News for about three years till 2005, before being replaced by Leila McKinnon. Later, she regained her position but left them to join Seven News Brisbane as a weekend presenter in 2007 replacing Tracey Challenor, and also replaced Talitha Cummins on Weekend Sunrise in 2008, where she worked for 2010.
Currently, she works at Seven News Brisbane with Max Futcher from Monday to Friday. She has also hosted Qantas, The Australian Grand Prix Corporation, and, The Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.
