Shawn Yue is a native of Hong Kong, raised alongside his older brother and a younger sister. At an early age, he was first noticed on the streets of Hong Kong by agents of popular Hong Kong modeling agency “Starz People”. During his high school he used to do modeling on the part-time basis, but after his graduation, Yue immediately indulged into full-time modeling.
Throughout modeling career, Yue modeled for Meko, Gillette, Timberland, Giordano, Sony, and is currently a spokesperson for Coca-cola China and Shiseido Pureness.
Further, in 2000, Yue debuted in the acting industry with the TV series “Youth@Y2K” portraying the character, Chan Wing-lok. The following year, he stepped into the big screen and debuted in the movie “Leaving in Sorrow” as the role of Hong.
Though he already gained a huge fame through his first role in the movie Initial D as Takeshi Nakazato, that left a deep impression and impact on a lot of the viewers’ heart, especially in Japan. Till now, Yue has starred in 56 movies and 13 TV series.
Since 2001, Yue is active in the music industry. He made his debut in the music industry with his single, “Angel of Mercy”. His other single includes “The Songbird Anthology”, “Best Media Asia Music”, and “V-Love OST”.
His hard work has paid back him well with various prestigious awards and nominations. His first role was in home “2002 Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards” for Rising Star Song.
Additionally, he has also won “2002 RTHK Top 10 Gold Songs Awards” for the category Best New Male Artist, “2004 Jade Solid Best Ten Music Awards” for Outstanding Performance Award and “2008 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival” for Best Actor.
Yue is a person who prefers to keep his personal matters undisclosed. As per our record, he might be single. However, once he rumored for being in the relation with Sarah Wang Tangyun. The duo often spotted in the public and hanging out with their friends.
