Wrestling Debut as Sheamus O' Shaunessy

In 2002, Sheamus made his wrestling debut under the name of Sheamus O’ Shaunessy after six weeks of training in Larry Sharpe’s Monster Factory wrestling school. His opponent was Robert Pidgeon in the debut match and it was during that time he had gained the nickname “Irish Curse”.

2004

Returns to Wrestling at Irish Whip Wrestling, Dublin, Ireland

During 2002, he suffered a neck injury that sidetracked his career for 2 years and he returned to the ring in 2004 at Irish Whip Wrestling situated in Dublin where he debuted against Mark burns to which he won with ease.

In 2006, Sheamus made a cameo appearance in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) RAW alongside Stu Sanders at the Manchester Evening News Arena as a unit of security team. Later in the show he gets pedigreed by Triple-H.

Became WWE World Heavyweight Champion

On December 2009, He went head to head against 12 times WWE World Champion John Cena and won the match becoming the first Irish to win the WWE Champion title. It was a Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) match.

 The same year Irishman and pro wrestler Sheamus appeared in Irish horror film directed by Brendan Foley. He plays a Celtic Warrior, a zombie which is shown in the beginning of the movie and shot in the chest then quickly burnt.

Starred in TMNT: Out of the Shadows

In 2016, he portrayed the role of Rocksteady, a humanoid black rhinoceros that is part of a street gang with humanoid war-hog Bebop in the sequel of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles titled TMNT : Out of the Shadows.
