Shin Lim is a Canadian-American self-taught magician, recognized for his use of card manipulation and sleight of hand. He is also the winner of the 13th season of America's Got Talent(AGT) in 2018.
Shin is mainly known for his elaborate close-up card magic routines, during which he stays quiet with the tricks set to music, including his award-winning acts "The Dream Act" and "52 Shades of Red".
Shin was born on September 25, 1991, in Canada, to Singapore-born parents and was raised along with his brother En Lim and ultimately moved to Boston, Massachusetts when he was 11.

Shin eventually started participating in different magic-related competitions and this helped in making his passion stronger than ever.
In 2018, at the age of 26, Shin participated in the 13th season of America's Got Talent and ultimately became the winner of the show on September 19, which earned him immense fame worldwide.
As per the advice of one of the judges of the show Simon Cowell, Shin added more techniques to his performance which helped him to win the competition.
Moving on to his personal life, Shin is engaged to his girlfriend Casey Thomas. The couple had an affair for quite a long time before he proposed to her in one of his magic shows in front of over 2000 people on August 20, 2017. The couple is likely to tie the knot very soon, but they have not revealed their exact plans for marriage. The couple also has not welcomed any children by far.
