Stephen Collinson started his professional career after he joined DC Thompson in the year 1995. He worked there as a Reporter for Dundee Courier/ Evening Telegraph until March 1997. Following this, he joined AFP in March 1997 where he worked as a News editor. The journalist was later promoted to Bangkok as a Deputy Bureau Chief was worked until March 2000. This was followed by another promotion as an Asia Policy Reporter.
Later from 2006-2009, he worked as a Correspondent and Political in Toronto. His last position with AFP was as a White House Correspondent. However, he finally left the company in October 2014. Currently, he is working with CNN as the senior reporter for CNN politics, covering the White House, and also politics across the world. Stephen reportedly started working for CNN in October 2014 and has continued working ever since.
