The Beginning of Stephens Career

Stephen King started his writing career as a Mystery Story author in 1967, he professionally sold his first short story, “The Glass Floor”, at the University of Maine.

Stephen King was born as Stephen Edwin King on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine. He is the son of father Donald Edwin King, a merchant seaman, and his mother's name is Nellie Ruth. King is of American nationality and his ethnicity is white.

Talking about his education, Stephen attended Durham Elementary School and later enrolled at  Lisbon Falls High School, Maine, from where he graduated. King also attended the University of Maine, from where he received his bachelor's degree in arts with a major in English.

Stephen started his writing career as a Mystery Story author in 1967, he professionally sold his first short story, The Glass Floor, to the startling mystery Story at the University of Maine. After his graduation, King was certified to teach high schools but was not lucky to find a job immediately. Resulting, him to sell short stories to men’s magazine and managing his daily wages. His first official publish was Night Shift which was republished plenty of times.

Stephen King was at the Library of Fogler University, where he first met, Tabitha Spruce,  a Professor at Hatlen. Rumors say Spruce opened the door for Mr. King to Hampden Academy, where he worked for some years and Side by side Stephen worked for a magazine as well as was writing novels. During that time he was being alcoholic as well and it has been almost a decade he is continuing his drinking habit.

King's thriller IT, has been adapted into a movie, released in 2017, and features actors like Jaeden Lieberher and, Bill Skarsgard. Another of his novel The Green Mile has also been made into a movie and features actor Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan.

As King's mother started being sick, the family moved to Southern Maine. hat very moment he started his new book, Second Coming, later the title changed as Salem’s Lot and was published in 1975.

In 1971, Stephen met Tabitha Spruce, another novelist and soon they get married, and now they have blessed with two children, Owen King, Naomi, and Joseph Hillstrom.
