Susan began her career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Then she also worked as a freelance reporter for several years and then in 2003, she joined CCTV.
She was the anchor of CCTV International. She worked there for three years and then in 2006 she joined Bloomberg Television and began hosting Asia Business Tonight. She also covered most of the events of the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Having worked for CNBC Asia and CNBC Europe, Susan Li joined CNBC in January 2016 as a correspondent and a relief presenter. There she made her image after interviewing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Grace Hightower's husband Robert De Niro, Nobu Matsuhisa, and Jet Li.
