Hugh started his career in 1969 while he was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Steelers' head coach, Chuck Noll. At the time he played quarterback for the short time.
In 1975, Hanratty played only one regular season in playoff games and postseason. During the AFC Champion, he finished the game, taking the Steelers' last two offensive snaps when Bradshaw was hurt.
In 1976, Hanratty moved to waivers with the help of the Steelers in September. Hugh finished his career with 2,510 passing yards, 24 touchdown passes, and 35 interceptions.
After retirement from football, Terrence served as Stock broker for many years. Presently he serves as the coach of his daughter's team, Champion softball.
Looking at his personal life, Hanratty married to his long time girlfriend Kelly Hanratty. The couple has blessed with a daughter Erin and they currently live in New Canaan.
Being a footballer Hugh has featured in the various tournament from which he collects a big chunk of money. However, the exact figure of his net worth is yet to reveal and is under review.
