At the end of 2009, Thomas Muller married the love of his life Lisa Trade. He dated him for several years and they got engaged in 2007. They finally got married in December 2009. Lisa is a semi-professional equestrian and she uses to work on a farm.
In 1993, Thomas Muller joined TSV Pähl and he played there as a youth player for the next seven years. And then in 2000, he joined Bayern Munich. He also played there as a youth player till 2008. He made his professional debut in March 2008 as a Bayern Munich in a Regionalliga match and that was against SpVgg Unterhaching. Then in 2008-2009 sessions, he played from Bayern Munich II where he scored 15 goals. He made his full team debut on the 15th of August 2008, replacing Miroslav Klose and he played the last ten minutes of the match against Hamburger SV. He also represented Germany in the 2010 World Cup, where he scored five goals.
