Tiger Woods Reveals His Relationship With Elin Nordegren & Date For The First Time

Tiger Woods is a household name in the field of golf. We can’t ignore the fact that Woods is immensely talented when it comes to golf, but we’re pretty sure that Woods isn’t so good at keeping a relationship stable.

Elin Nordegren was thought to be Woods’ lifetime lover in the form of the wife but sadly, they got divorced in 2010. Woods appeared on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ and opened up about his relationship with his former wife. He even dated Lindsay Vonn. Let’s see what’s up between them.

Tiger Woods Says His Ex-wife is His Best Friend

Although Woods and Nordegren are no longer tied in marital vows, they still share a great bond of friendship.

In an interview with Time magazine back in 2014, Woods said that his former wife is one of his best friends. When Colbert asked how he does that, on his show, Woods replied saying that the pair are doing so for the sake of the children. He said:

“We have Sam and we have Charlie. And we love them so much that we are going to whatever it takes to make that work.”

Woods also said that Nordegren has been her best friend and he has told her about so many different things and Nordegren has done the same. He even claimed that the pair share an extremely high level of communication. He said:

“We communicate so much better now, it's incredible. I wish we would have done that earlier on, but it's been incredible to have a best friend like that."

Tiger Woods First Date With Lindsay Vonn

After his separation from Nordegren, Woods dated Olympic skier Lindsay Vonn for the first time in 2012.

Soon after the pain came out about their relationship, they became one of the most talked-about pairs in the field of sports. Their relationship fell apart due to intense media coverage. They broke up in 2015.

In an interview with E! News, Vonn revealed that the split was really hard for her. She felt like she was in a fishbowl as everyone kept an eye on her, judged her, and gave their opinions on what they thought is right or wrong. However, Vonn learned to block out the noise and other people’s opinions by being in a relationship with Woods. She says:

honestly it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks as long as you’re happy.

It seems like Vonn wasn’t happy at all that’s why she ended her relationship with Woods in 2015. 

So, this is how and why Woods divorced his first wife Nordegren. His first date post-divorce also failed. It seems like Woods isn’t getting the right grip on relationships. We hope he finds the right lady really soon.

Well, there are rumors that Tiger is dating a girlfriend named Erica Herman. The couple was spotted together numerous times, including at the Presidents Cup last autumn.

The duo is reportedly dating since September 2017. However, they have not opened up about their relationship officially.
