Toy Story Writer Andrew Stanton talks about what he would change about the animated movies

Monika Wed Jan, 2016

Writer of the animated movie Toy Story, Andrew Stanton has recently come up about a scene he would like to have changed if he could in the movie. This director, producer, voice actor and screenwriter has been involved in the direction and writing of animated movies like A Bug’s Life, WALL-E and Finding Nemo and it now seems that he is dissatisfied with a scene of the movie.

After two decades of working magic on screen with the screenplay of the Toy Story trilogy, Stanton has now come out about what he would have liked to change on the franchise. He expressed this thought in an exclusive interview to Time. He stated that he is proud to be a part of the franchise and does not watch it very often as he is sure that he won’t be able to make a film that is better than the Toy Story Franchise.

This 50 year old Academy Award Winning screenwriter specifically pointed out to a scene in the movie. The particular scene between Woody and Buzz when they are both trapped on top of Sid’s desk on a rainy day is the scene that he would like to have changed. Woody, when struggling to be free builds up Buzz and proclaims that he is the greatest toy. At this point, Buzz looks down and reads the word Andy on his foot and decides to save Woody anyhow. The addition Stanton would like to have had on the scene was for Buzz to look over and see Andy written under Woody’s feet too. This, Stanton stated would have a better effect and would have an extra connection to prove that they are brothers.

Stanton admitted that every time he looks at the scene, he wishes that the addition would have been made. As the addition surely cannot be made at this moment now, we sure wish that Stanton would make perfect movies that satisfy him fully and that he wouldn’t have had an issue about, from now on.
