Travis was raised in an upper-middle-class family along with his siblings and friends. After completion of his high school graduation, he joined the University of Texas at Austin. Later, he got enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
But before completing his undergraduate degree, he dropped out from there and began his music career. It is said that he began producing beats when he was 16. He collaborated with Chris Holloway, and together they founded The Graduates. In 2008, the duo released their debut EP on Myspace.
Travis released his first project called Buddy Rich in 2011. With lots of work, he finally released his debut single, Blocka La Flame in early 2012. His first mixtape, Owl Pharaoh was released on the 21st of May 2013. His mixtape was followed by a second mixtape called Days Before Rodeo.

by the hit single called Antidote, which became the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Similarly, he released his second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, which also gained positive reviews.
As a musician and recording artist, Travis is also a member of the supergroup known as Huncho Jack with Quavo. He released his first collaborative album, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, along with his group member.
