Uzo attended Medfield High School and she graduated from there in 1999. Later on, she got enrolled at Boston University with a major in classical voice. There she also took part in track and field. In 2011, she appeared in the Theater show Godspell and finally made her TV debut in 2012 by starring in the TV series Project Runway: All-Stars.
