Carter played basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels while he was at the University of North Carolina. After playing three for three years with the Heels, Carter was selected for the NBA draft by Golden State Warriors in 1998. Later, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors, where he won NBA Rookie of the Year award and Slam Dunk Contest. Same year during Olympics, he represented the United States.

Vince got his breakthrough after Summer Olympics and soon became a league star by his leaping ability and slam dunks. After playing for Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Mavericks, and Grizzlies, he signed with the Kings in 2017

Besides, Vince Carter established his foundation, "Embassy of Hope" in Florida, New Jersey, and Toronto, helping children and their families. His effort and dedication towards Foundation made him Child Advocate of the Year by the "Children's Home Society" and earned "Florida Governor's Points of Light" award in 2007.
