On an Instagram post of February 4, 2021, the Canadian actress shared the first-ever snap of her newly born son to her 9.5 million followers and revealed the name of her baby boy, River. She wrote:
"The most challenging, beautiful experience of my life. On January 29th, Michael & I Welcomed our beautiful baby boy River into the world."
The Ottawa, Ontario-born first announced her pregnancy on July 24, 2021, via an Instagram post, sharing pictures of the sonogram. In a series of snaps, Morgan revealed the gender of the baby, a boy with a blue-theme revealing ceremony, and wrote that she was 'overjoyed to welcome the baby boy.'
As the Riverdale star who portrayed Toni Topaz in the crime-drama series shared pictures & videos of her pregnancy, none of them featured her husband Kopec; a few days later, it was reported that the duo had filed for divorce.

The 5 feet 2 inches tall Canadian actress is on the pending divorce, as her relationship with her now estranged husband professional baseball player Michael Kopech turned sour. Reportedly, after dating for nearly a year, the duo announced their engagement on July 3, 2019.
They married on January 4, 2020, in an intimate ceremony at the Walton Historic House in Florida. Among 40 guests attendance at the wedding ceremony were Skeet Ulrich, Drew Ray Tanner, Alicia Dea, and Madelaine Petsch.
Morgan revealed her pregnancy via social media in July 2020, which followed the news of the divorce filing a few days later, on July 27, 2020. As per court documents filed in Morris County, Texas, Kopech had filed for divorce after 6 months of marriage.
However, the exact reason behind their split is yet to be out. None of the parties have opened up anything at the moment.
Prior to Michael, Vanessa was in a 2-year relationship with Canadian professional ice hockey Nathan MacKinnon from 2014 to 2016. Moreover, she has a brief fling with Munro Chambers, a Canadian actor, in 2008.
Ever since announcing her pregnancy in mid-2020, Vanessa seems quite busy preparing herself for motherhood. With the arrival of son River this February (2021), the Canadian actress devotes her time to raise her infant child.
At the moment, she is not in any official relationship or any talks about her dating life is out. Allegedly, Morgan is single for now.
Her soon-to-be ex-husband Michael Kopech is yet to make a move in the relationship as well. Though, shortly after filing for divorce, Koepch's ex-girlfriend Brielle Biermann saw flooding fans' suggestions on Instagram to reunite with him amid divorce. The former duo dated for 2 years before they broke up in March 2018.
