Why Maureen E. McPhilmy Divorced Bill O'Reilly? Bill Is Fired From Fox For Sexual Harassment Case

People were expecting some serious action from the Fox News network against Bill O'Reilly and they forced him out of the Network which was not so surprising. After Roger Ailes was let loose previously for the same kind of reasons, another oldest member Bill O'Reilly became another big name to be sent out of the newsroom.

When Maureen E. McPhilmy, former wife to Bill, alleged Bill for domestic violence and physical as well as emotional violence, after fifteen long years of marriage many people failed to believe it but after the news of his harassment cases started coming from inside Fox Network people finally realized whatever Bill accused cheating wife said could have been true indeed.

Maureen E. McPhilmy and Bill O’Reilly, who married in 1992, after dating for about four years separated in 2010 despite having two beautiful children. The tragedy of this divorce was more horrible as McPhilmy kept on saying that she was physically abused and tortured by her husband many times but people just didn't believe the allegations as O'Reilly was really a household name in America.

She even confessed that she was once dragged down a staircase by the neck by her husband Bill once over a small argument. Moreover, she accused Bill of being unfaithful to their relationship and cheating on her. In the court hearing, Maureen battled for the custody of their two children which she later won.

Bill claimed that Maureen's statements were 100% false and released a statement through his personal attorney stating

All allegations against me in these circumstances are 100% false. I am going to respect the court-mandated confidentiality put in place to protect my children and will not comment any further. 

Bill lost the custody battle and later Maureen was granted custody of their children by Nassau Country Supreme Court justice. The couple fought a very long custody battle which was finally ended in April 2015 after three long years.

The Facts About O'Reilly Being Abusive Did Come True After All 

Many Fox's rival networks like CNN and MSNBC have been making headlines over Reilly and has accused Bill of paying around $9 million over settlements of the harassment-related cases over the years time and again. 

Bill recently has been removed from Fox Network after being sued by various female co-workers for workplace harassment which involved verbal as well as sexual abuse.

After Andrea Tantaro's allegations about a year ago, Julie Roginsky recently opened about Bill and Roger Ailes the cases started unfolding and when it reached the court's door Fox decides to save its reputation by bailing out of the situation quietly before it would create any more dramas.
