Yulia was born to Daniela Lipnitskaia and Slava Vyacheslav. Her parents got married a long time ago. Her father is a Russian army and he didn't come back to home after he joined army. She has been raised completely by her single mother. Her parents have not been divorced yet though. Yulia is also not involved in any kind of love affairs.
Yulia grandmother was an avid athlete. She was active in acrobatics, skating, and sailing during her days. Her grandmother is her inspiration and she began following her path as her career. He began taking training with experienced skating coach Elena Levkovets when she was just 4. In 2009, she joined Eteri Tutberidze's group. She also took part in 2010 Russian Championships where she was ranked 5th. In 2011, she took part in the senior level and was placed 4th in the 2011 Russian Championships. In 2011, she also took part in Russian Junior Championships. She competed in the Junior Grand Prix series in the 2011 and won the gold medal in the JGP Final in Quebec. In the 2012 Russian Championships, she was able to win the silver medal but she was able to won the gold in the 2012 Russian Junior Championships and 2012 World Junior Championships.
