Billy started his professional career at early age, he played for the senior club for over twenty seasons, after a brief spell on loan at Monza in Serie C1 during the 1986–87 season.
During the 1989 season, Billy played in European Cup, as a defender against Benfica. The game ended at 1–0 in the final in Vienna as he played for Milan club. Following he also participated in Intercontinental Cup in Tokyo where he defeated Atlético Nacional and in European Cruyff's Barcelona.
