Born in Cincinnati, Ohio

Charles Manson was born on 12th November 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born to mother, Kathleen Maddox, and grew up with father, Colonel Walker Scott but he never knew his actual father. His mother married Laborer William Eugene Manson after a period of his birth in 1909.  

1947

Caught at the age of 13

Charles Manson walked towards the crime world from his small age. He robbed at a liquor store, bicycle and committed armed robberies as well. When he broke into grocery store he was caught and sent to Indiana Boys School but escaped with two other boys from there.

1954

Won Parole

After getting transferred to the Federal Reformatory he became a model resident and started working on good habits. He also rose the standard of his dedication from fourth to seventh grade which earned him parole in 1954.

Married to Rosalie Jean Willis

Charles Manson married to Rosalie Jean Willis, hospital waitress, in 1955. Rosalie gave birth to their first child, Charles Manson Jr. when he was in prison but she left him after three years of marital relationship in 1998.

Married to Candy

After a divorce from his first wife, Charles married to Leona Stevens, prostitute, well-known as Candy Stevens in 1959. Manson also has two children Charles Luther Manson and Valentine Michael Manson from his second wife, Candy. Leona divorced Charles in 1963.

Murdered Sharon Tate

Charles murder several people and among them, the most well-known victims was an actress Sharon Tate, wife of the fim director, Roman Polanski. She was a half month pregnant and killed along with four other peoples in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles, near Beverly Hills.

Charles Manson was suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding and was rushed to Mercy Hospital but he was too weak for surgery so they sent him back to California State Prision. After a week of his 83rd birthday, Charles Manson died of natural causes on 19th November 2017.

Charles started burglarizing from his small age. Firstly, he rubbed liquor shop and a bicycle but was caught and sent to an Indianapolis juvenile center. Charles along with his friend committed armed robberies, grocery, cars jacking at the age of 13. They caught several times but escaped from the center most of the times.

In 1951, Manson was transferred to "Natural Bridge Honor Camp" with minimum security institution. Then he was transferred to the "Federal Reformatory in Virginia" and considered him as "dangerous" and again to the Federal Reformatory for the more secure institution. After a couple of months, he started good work and studied from fourth to seventh grade which earned him parole in 1954 but again he went towards crime and caught again in 1956. 

Besides his several murder, the most well-known victims was an actress Sharon Tate, wife of the film director Roman Polanski. She was a half month pregnant and killed along with four other peoples in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles, near Beverly Hills.  

During his lifetime, Charles was charged guilty of first-degree murder convictions for the deaths of nine people. For his crime, he was originally sentenced to death but was commuted to life imprisonment in 1972. Charles Manson served his lifetime imprisonment at California State Prison located in Corcoran. 

Moving towards personal life, Charles Manson married twice. Firstly, he got married to Rosalie Jean Willis, hospital waitress, in 1955. When Charles along with his three months pregnant wife arrived in Los Angeles in a stolen car, he got caught and sentenced to three years imprisonment.

His first wife, Rosalie, gave birth to their first child, Charles Manson Jr. when he was in prison but she left him after three years of married relationship in 1998.

Later, Charles married Leona Stevens, prostitute, well-known as Candy Stevens in 1959. Manson also has two children Charles Luther Manson and Valentine Michael Manson from his second wife, Candy. Leona divorced Charles in 1963.
